Announcement

The old version of Blogger is slowly being ended. Some old blog accounts are being forced to switch despite the owners fear of and resistance to change. How Google determines when to target a group of blogs to switch I do not know.

This is a team blog. Several people can create posts and access the contol panel. That makes the switch different. The most important being "A team blog will only switch to the new version of Blogger when the original owner moves his or her account over."

The original owner is at least Marilynn M and may also be her grandaughter Karen and whoever Kevin Langdon is if they set it up that way at the start.

There may come a time soon when this blog is forced to switch and that could mess things up in unknown ways if it isn't done. We could get shut out.

This is just a heads up in advance. A whole new blog can be started as one option. I can attempt to eliminate the other team members. Or it may be time to say Aloha?

A Dear Bread Crusts letter for your Valentines Day. Thoughts.

The best is yet to come Christopher.
This is a unique site for a small handful of diverse people.
I would encourage you and the administrators of this blog to get together and bring us up to date...
besides we do not say Aloha in Georgia, it's later ya'll.
cool pic...

I haven't heard from Marilynn in ages. I don't suppose we should try to involve her or Karen. Karen is in her second semester of college.

I say we keep a blog. JG is right it is a unique place, besides that I very much consider all of you as good friends.

Should we rename it?

I can try to eliminate Marilynn and the others from the control panel. A button seems to give me that option but I have not followed it. Once that is done then I can upgrade to the new blogger maybe? A Coup d'état of sorts.

The change from the switch is almost undetectable.

The thing is at some point they will force a switch and come June 1st I will be off line for I do not know how long. I can try and set it up before I go.

Christopher,

After June 1st, go to your local public library and check in with us once in awhile until you can get service again, okay? Bill and Melinda Gates donated a zillion computers to every branch of every public library in the country.

Also, if you have a major state university near you, you could use the computers at their libraries too.

Well the Coup d'état went ok it seems. I am surprised. That would sure make it easy to con someone out of their blog if you had a mind for that. That leaves me, Deb and ckv7508 who I assume is Cheryl as administrators.

I can try to switch it and see what happens. Then Deb and Cheryl will have to make new Google accounts to regain their access to administration if they do not already have Google accounts for other services.

My God what power!

Good job -- someone should give you another big O and X for that. I'll just watch.

OK -- if that was too offensive, you guys can sensor this message now. It won't hurt my feelings.

Oops... I meant censor.

Good job Christopher. I really would hate to lose our meeting place. I do like Christin's idea of updating the blog's name. We could have some fun tossing around some ideas.

The name can be changed no problem, but the address would stay the same unless a new blog is made. Keeping the old address and switching to the new required format will allow the the archives to be kept.

I wasn't sure which thread to put this in, so I thought this was as good a place as any. I had meant to post it yesterday -- Valentine's Day, but I forgot.

Recently, when I was researching the American Monetary Institute, I found an article about how Dennis Kucinich and his wife Elizabeth first met.

After having heard Stephen Zarlenga speaking about monetary reform at the House of Lords, Elizabeth Kucinich (then Elizabeth Harper) applied for and was hired to become Zarlenga's assistant at the Chicago-based American Monetary Institute. That work took her and Zarlenga to Dennis Kucinich's office.

Here is the very romantic story (which is why I meant to post it on Valentine's Day) of how Dennis and Elizabeth Kucinich got together -- For this post, I renamed the article:

The Way Life Should Be

Misreading an instruction page on Blogger it told me I could become the "owner" of the blog if I was the last man standing and switch it to my account.

So I killed off Deb and Cheryl as administrators too, thinking I could convert the blog last night. Now it seems I must wait until they say this blog can convert.

I can always re-invite Deb and Cheryl to be administrators at any time. Have either of you switched to Google accounts for the new Blogger or have one for any other Google service?

Right now it is a waiting game. I was just reading about and seeing a bunch of blogs forced to move and went ahead and moved mine. I didn't realize the repeated suggestion that kept appearing on my dashboard was a prelude to a demand and were not going out to all blogs. They want to convert a set number at a time so it won't overload the system.

If Bread Crusts does not get a suggestion to swich before I go I can just turn it back over to Cheryl and Deb.

Cheryl what does your dashboard say in regards to Bread Crusts since I deleted you last night?

Oh, that sky is from my deck here in Hawaii.

Christopher,

Since I don't have the slightest clue as to how to do the admin stuff, and have no idea as to when I would have the time to learn it, then just leave me out. Perhaps somebody else wants to be an admin.?

Judy, I did watch What the Bleep. I will catch "The Secret" when I get the chance, thanks.

Christopher,
Blogger forced me to update today, so I'm on the new blogger with a google account. All hail the all seeing Google.
My dashboard only has Hen's Teeth on it, so I guess you need to add me back in.

Christopher C. NC said...

Cheryl I sent you an invite to get back on.

Cheryl said...

Christopher, I tried to accept, but something went wrong. Can you try again?
Thanks

Ok

Still no move from Google to make this blog switch. Sorry for the premature worry.

I will make all new threads before I go off line in late May so dial-up folks won't be slowed further. I can try again to get Cheryl back on as an administrator?
